XX MARU MAL MEMORIAL INTER-SCHOOL CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2018
(Under-19 for Boys & Girls, U/14 for Boys)

Today when the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” scheme is being emphasized upon, the great visionaries of this Institution were pioneers to initiate this mission way back in 1968 when Maru Mal Education Board was established with the sole aim of providing education to girls. The Board  runs and manages two schools, Maru Mal Girls Sr. Sec. School, Jacubpura, Gurugram, affiliated with Haryana Board, (established in 1968; 50 Yrs.), and M. M. Public School, Sec- 4, Urban Estate, Gurugram, affiliated with CBSE, (established in 1991; 27 yrs).

In 2016 we  introduced Maru Mal Memorial Girls Cricket Championship Tournament  to promote women cricket and increase participation of girls in cricket at school level. This year we are introducing the Maru Mal Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament Champions Trophy for Under-14 boys also with an aim to catch the young talents.

This year we are organizing the XX Edition of MARU MAL MEMORIAL INTER-SCHOOL CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT (Under 19 for Boys & Girls, Under 14 for boys) from 20th Nov. (Tuesday) to 2nd Dec. 2018 (Sunday) in the school premises. A total of 38 Teams, out of which six girls cricket teams, from different schools of Gurugram and NCR would be participating in this prestigious tournament.

Over the years it has become the most sought after Inter-School Cricket Tournament in Gurugram. It is the unstinted support and guidance of our Chairman, Shri. Devesh Gupta, that this tournament has attained such a stature. He envisions making this cricket tournament a State Level Tournament in which at least 50 teams participate. In future we intend to hold day and night matches also. We take pride in sharing that this 15 day tournament is one of the biggest tournament of Gurugram, and the first in Gurugram to initiate girl’s cricket championship trophy. 

 Eminent personalities of national and international repute from the fields of sports, politics, education and industry have attended and appreciated previous tournament.  Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, Minister of Finance,Government of India, Shri. Manoj Tiwari, BJP Delhi Unit Chief, Gwalior, Vice-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, Registrar of  Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education, are some of the guests who attended last year's’ event.
